Overview

As a Mechatronics Sr. Engineer, you drive the development of innovative mechatronic and digital solutions from concept to proof-of-concept. You collaborate with global teams to design hardware concepts, electronics, and platform architectures. You influence the electronics hardware development and enterprise platform guidelines, enabling successful product launches. This role offers exposure to advanced technologies within Flowserve's Innovation & Growth ecosystem and a chance to shape next-generation flow control solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Apply deep mechatronics and digital solution expertise to complex projects
  • Expand knowledge through tech scouting and partner engagement
  • Analyze state-of-the-art technologies for potential solutions
  • Identify optimization opportunities in existing mechatronic products
  • Consult and support globally distributed development teams
  • Own proof-of-concept systems and proof-of-value initiatives
  • Contribute to electronics hardware development
  • Use SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink to evaluate feasibility
  • Design modular concepts for partner hardware development
  • Develop enterprise hardware platform guidelines for mechatronics and IoT
  • Support partner electronics hardware development definitions and reviews
  • Develop proof-of-concept industrial drive and low-power electronics
  • Support global electronics and digital product teams
Key requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics or similar with >4 years experience
  • Experience in technology and innovation with potential commercialization
  • Track record in developing and commercializing new products or solutions
  • Research and innovation experience; design thinking is an asset
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills across functions
  • Ability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment; travel 20%
  • Experience with measurement electronics development and embedded hardware integration
  • Experience with modern microcontroller technology and architecture
  • Experience with modern motor and drive technology and drive/process control theories
  • Experience with field bus technologies and protocols
  • Experience with circuit and PCB design tools and electronics product certification (EMC, LVD)
  • Experience as a technical lead on development projects
