Overview In this role within the Systems Development Department, you design and implement RF systems, combining lab, field, and customer-facing work. You will gain hands-on experience with real-world RF environments, contributing to testing, integration, and demonstrations. The role blends technical depth with systems engineering exposure, offering opportunities to own experiments and refine deployment procedures. You will work cross-functionally to improve designs and test procedures, anchored by field deployments and demonstrations.

Responsibilities- Conduct RF benchtop testing using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters
- Lead RF experimentation efforts at field sites under senior guidance
- Support setup, calibration, and operation of RF systems at field tests, live demos, and range events
- Troubleshoot RF hardware, cabling, and test equipment under time-constrained conditions
- Assist in developing test execution plans and field-oriented procedures
- Maintain detailed configuration records for fielded tests (equipment IDs, cable runs, firmware versions, settings)
- Capture lessons learned from field deployments to improve designs and procedures
- Develop and perform test procedures to validate new RF hardware and control software
- Analyze and interpret signals and waveforms
- Interface with engineers across disciplines during system design
- Participate in team activities to analyze requirements and make recommendations for moderate to complex systems
- Prepare specifications for component and equipment purchases
- Perform trade studies on RF system components
- Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Travel to customer sites and deployment locations (up to 25-50%, including possible OCONUS)
