Overview

In this role, you lead BSWH's transition to automation-first quality engineering across digital and AI-enabled products. You will shape enterprise QA strategy, establish standards, and drive faster, safer software delivery with measurable quality. You partner across technology, product, security, data, and clinical teams to embed quality in CI/CD and production validation. This is a high-impact leadership role at scale, balancing speed with reliability and regulatory needs. You'll champion AI-enabled testing and a modern QA operating model to sustain trust and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the enterprise quality engineering strategy and multi-year modernization roadmap
  • Set standards for automated vs manual testing across digital products, AI use cases, and shared services
  • Lead scalable test automation across API, UI, integration, regression, performance, and accessibility
  • Introduce AI-enabled testing capabilities (generation, maintenance, intelligent regression)
  • Embed automated testing in CI/CD, release gates, and development workflows
  • Partner with AI, data, product, engineering, security, and operations teams on AI quality, evaluation, and safety measures
  • Define release-readiness standards, quality gates, and production validation practices
  • Build and mentor QA/quality engineering talent with a focus on automation and AI-enabled productivity
  • Establish governance forums, metrics, and playbooks to align quality expectations across teams
  • Communicate strategy, risks, and performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders
Key requirements
  • 15-18+ years in technology, software quality or related delivery roles
  • 7-10+ years in QA/quality engineering or engineering leadership
  • Proven experience modernizing QA practices and scaling test automation
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary quality teams and embedding quality in modern engineering workflows
  • Strong background in CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, release readiness, and production validation
  • Experience with AI-enabled, data-intensive product delivery and evaluation frameworks
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and drive organizational change
  • Comfort working in regulated/high-trust environments (healthcare preferred)
  • Experience with AI, GenAI, machine learning, automation or workflow systems preferred
