Overview

In this Senior Electrical Engineer role, you will support investigations of field complaints on Boston Scientific devices within the Post Market Quality Assurance team. You will guide analysis of returned products, mentor junior engineers, and participate in cross-functional strategy to improve patient care. The role combines technical depth with regulatory and quality system responsibilities to ensure effective, compliant investigations. You will work with R&D, manufacturing, and supplier teams to address device performance issues and drive quality improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Support analysis of field complaint investigations for current and new market technologies
  • Mentor junior engineers on investigation methods and documentation
  • Review product analysis results to ensure adequate addressing of field allegations
  • Analyze returned products to ensure high quality and reliable conclusions
  • Lead cross-functional projects with defined work plans, timelines, and resources
  • Communicate product quality issues to senior management across R&D, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
  • Interpret complex technical issues for non-technical audiences
  • Provide technical support for regulatory and legal inquiries
  • Develop novel methods to analyze product complaints
  • Support Product Performance Engineering activities during investigations
  • Respond to Technical Service Requests for device performance questions
  • Serve as a support role for additional Complaint Investigation Site activities
Key requirements
  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering degree
  • 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in quality system processes
  • Ability to manage project work and define delivery dates
  • Understanding of quality system processes and procedures
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication and data analysis skills
