Principal Power Generation Engineer - Steam Turbine

In this role you will provide technical leadership for a large steam turbine fleet, guiding reliable operation across fossil and nuclear units. You will collaborate with operations and maintenance to set engineering standards and drive fleet-wide improvements. You'll lead complex troubleshooting and use analytics to foresee risks, shaping long-term asset strategy and outage planning. This is a chance to influence reliability, availability, and cost performance at scale within NextEra Energy.

• Provide technical leadership for steam turbine fleet assets with consistent engineering standards and risk-informed solutions
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations for chronic fleet issues
• Manage fleet engineering documentation (Engineering Requests, Work Orders, OEM bulletins, MOCs)
• Support strategic initiatives to improve fleet reliability, availability, and cost performance
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on outage planning and long-term asset strategy
• Leverage advanced analytics and AI tools to evaluate performance and identify reliability risks
• Support fossil and nuclear units during planned outages, emergent events, and special turbine projects

• ABET-accredited engineering degree
