Overview

Join LG Magna USA as a hands-on Electrical Engineer in the Quality Warranty team to own warranty-center operations for e-PT components (inverter, converter, motor). You will analyze faults, lead root-cause investigations, and drive containment with cross-functional partners. Your work supports a premier e-mobility solutions partner focused on customer value, quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
  • Manage shipping/receiving of returned e-PT components from customer sites
  • Analyze root causes and perform repair/refurbishment of defective parts
  • Validate repairs using EOL equipment and test chambers
  • Maintain and manage test equipment (EOL, Charger/Discharger, Leak Tester)
  • Oversee warranty-related quality issues with field and plant liaison, and manage RMA process
  • Conduct tear-downs and failure analyses to determine root causes
  • Perform SWAP testing with tracked parts from sub-suppliers to trace issues
  • Lead APQP activities and coordinate PPAP documentation (PFD, PCP, PFMEA) for customer approval
  • Lead containment actions and respond to emerging quality issues
  • Prepare technical reports with data-driven recommendations and present quality status to stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years in Electrical/Electronics Application or Test Engineering
  • Strong skill in Root Cause Analysis for Quality Engineering
  • Experience with process improvement and quality engineering methodologies
  • Knowledge of TS16949 and APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC
  • Understanding of PCBAs and ability to read electrical schematics
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to customers/warehouses
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Clear communication with customers and teams (local and overseas)
  • Proactive problem solving and initiative
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Quality Engineering and root-cause analysis
  • APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC knowledge
  • Understanding of electrical PCBA and schematics
