Medical Science Liaison (Renal) - Florida

As a Renal Medical Science Liaison, you will translate scientific insights into meaningful medical support for AstraZeneca's renal products and development programs. You will engage with key clinicians, researchers, and decision makers to advance evidence-based patient care and address barriers to optimal disease management. The role blends field medical activities with cross-functional collaboration to drive value, scientific exchange, and practice-changing insights. You will lead projects within the field medical team and contribute to Therapeutic Brand Team initiatives, making a tangible impact on patient outcomes.

• Provide medical and scientific support for renal products and new indications
• Engage with KOLs, KDMs, and HCPs to align on scientific objectives
• Identify and engage investigators for pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing studies
• Develop peer-level relationships with decision makers and researchers
• Uncover barriers to optimal disease management and identify improvement opportunities
• Deliver clinical and scientific information to internal stakeholders to support appropriate product use
• Respond to inquiries with balanced, evidence-based content
• Lead and manage projects within the field medical team; mentor others
• Maintain expertise in disease state, emerging therapies, and competitive landscape
• Deliver regional and national data presentations and scientific communications
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements

• Advanced degree in clinical/science field (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA-C) or equivalent
• 3 years of clinical or commercial experience; MSL experience preferred
• Strong understanding of healthcare system landscape and established TA networks
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry and scientific/clinical discussions with diverse audiences
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities
• Thorough knowledge of regulatory environment and compliance
• Ability to travel 50-70%
• Background in clinical development activities and therapeutic brand initiatives
