Overview Join Labcorp's RIA team in Burlington as a Technologist Trainee, where you contribute to high quality lab testing and patient care. In this role you will support specimen evaluation, operate and troubleshoot instruments, and ensure accurate results under established SOPs. You will work with cross functional teams to maintain safety, quality control, and timely reporting. Responsibilities- Assess specimen acceptability according to criteria
- Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs
- Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure reliability
- Make technical decisions in testing and problem solving
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results for patient care
- Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Understanding of laboratory operations and policies
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems
- High attention to detail and strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to meet physical requirements and pass color vision testing
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts
