Overview In this role, you will drive the technical direction and execution of a multi-phase EW/radar program within Leidos Defense Open Air Sensors. You'll integrate across engineering disciplines, lead software lifecycle activities, and perform system-level testing and debugging. The position involves deploying radar systems, conducting open-air experiments, and recommending improvements, all while enforcing DevSecOps and configuration management practices. You'll work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable EW solutions that meet mission needs and timelines.
Responsibilities- Integrate architecture, design, and development of advanced EW systems across RF sensing, signal processing, and countermeasures
- Provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle aligned with mission requirements and system integration needs
- Operate and execute testing of real-time, high-performance software for EW and radar platforms (embedded and distributed systems)
- Physically deploy radar systems, boot test software, conduct open-air experiments, and report efficacy with recommendations for improvements
- Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including DevSecOps, automated testing, and configuration management
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master's with 2-6 years
- Experience testing or integrating systems across multiple technical domains
- Experience with containerized Linux software and deploying software to air-gapped systems
- Problem-solving mindset across multiple technical domains with a focus on delivering products
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance or eligibility for Secret/Top Secret clearance
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to Huntsville, AL area
