Overview In this role you will design and analyze shock, noise, and vibration solutions for automotive, aviation, and defense customers. You work closely with customers and OEM engineers to conceptualize designs, present technical concepts, and draft proposals and quotes. You will lead multi-project programs from concept through production transition, including prototyping, testing, and cost-reduction initiatives, while supporting manufacturing during high-volume ramps.
Responsibilities- Interact with customers via calls and site visits to capture requirements
- Collaborate with customer engineers for conceptual design
- Deliver technical presentations and write proposals and quotations
- Recommend resolutions for shock and vibration problems
- Perform design and analysis using Creo (ProEngineer) and DFMEA
- Plan and manage multiple programs from concept through customer acceptance
- Coordinate prototype build, test, and delivery
- Support product manufacturability (DFM) and transition to production
- Lead or participate in cost-reduction and continuous improvement efforts
- Provide ongoing product support including FMEA and addressing production issues
Key requirements- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of Creo (ProEngineer) and FEA; FMEA is a plus
- Experience with shock and vibration design
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and influence skills
- Experience designing solutions for shock, noise, and vibration for OEMs in related markets (defense/aerospace preferred)
- US Citizenship or eligibility; ITAR & NOFORN compliance requirements
