Overview In this role, you support the PCBA Center of Excellence by managing electronic component lifecycles and aligning BOMs with development, sourcing, and production. You will address obsolescence, engage vendors, and drive cost-effective supply chain decisions. Your work enables robust product development and reliability across the Welding segment. This position offers mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and tangible impact on manufacturing outcomes.
Responsibilities- Manage component lifecycle collaborate with product development, sourcing, and production to mitigate risks and optimize lead times
- Align BOMs with product development and manufacturing timelines for new products
- Proactively identify and resolve component obsolescence, proposing suitable alternatives
- Drive sourcing partnerships and cost-saving initiatives to improve financial performance
- Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and engage with component manufacturers to ensure compliance and resolve issues
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across engineering, sourcing, and production
- Identify value propositions of different component options and support materials management decisions
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure engineering approval for component changes
Key requirements- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with different electrical components and testing methods
- Strong project management abilities and ability to handle multiple initiatives
