Overview In this role you will advise clients on tax implications of business decisions, optimize compliance, and lead complex tax issues as the primary client contact. You'll integrate tax policy changes and ASC 740/FIN 48 considerations to guide filing and resolutions, while shaping the office's leadership and regional strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage tax knowledge to reduce burdens, and drive client relationships. This is a strategic, client-focused leadership position with impact on growth and quality.

Responsibilities- Lead tax compliance reviews and ensure client and team adherence to firm policies and TQM
- Plan early recognition of material tax issues and communicate findings to client/partner
- Research complex issues with clear framing and methodology; mentor staff on research skills
- Apply ASC 740, FIN 48, and related policies; review tax provisions and client communications
- Develop tax strategies to maximize client benefits and minimize tax exposure
- Coordinate with STS specialists to assess applicability of consulting services
- Lead or participate in external CPE training and internal mentoring in specialization areas
- Supervise and develop associates; manage workload and provide feedback
Key requirements- Eight or more years of relevant tax experience
- CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent required or equivalent
- Bachelor in Accounting or related field; Master's in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
- Experience in supervisory roles and client management
- Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Executive presence and ability to be primary client contact
- Ability to delegate and develop a team
- Tax research and compliance processes
- ASC 740 (FAS 109) and FIN 48 knowledge
- Proficiency with tax software and research databases
