Overview

As a Site Civil Engineer (PE) at Woolpert, you will lead site/civil design for land development projects, delivering layouts, utilities, stormwater and erosion controls, and earthwork. You'll mentor junior staff and collaborate with project teams to ensure high-quality, compliant designs that align with client requirements and Woolpert standards. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on design in a team-driven environment. Responsibilities
  • Design and create site layout plans aligned with client requirements and Woolpert standards
  • Develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Lead site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management
  • Coordinate permitting with counties and local municipalities
  • Multi-task, prioritize workflow, and meet project deadlines
  • Collaborate with project management to identify impediments and implement solutions
  • Perform pavement assessments and compile related data and reports
  • Occasional field work and travel as needed
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years related experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and Storm and Sanitary Analysis; PondPack; Microsoft Office
  • Hydraulics and Hydrology experience preferred
  • Strong client service, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; provide constructive direction
