Overview In this role, you lead the Underwriting Data Engineering team to deliver robust data platforms and ML pipelines that enable AI, ML, and analytics across the enterprise. You will design end-to-end data solutions, govern model productionization, and drive the analytics roadmap within the BI Data & Analytics Organization. You'll collaborate across data science, data engineering, architecture, and analytics value streams to standardize practices and accelerate data-driven decision making. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape underwriting analytics at scale and mentor a growing team.

Responsibilities- Lead and mentor the Underwriting Data Engineering team, establish processes, and foster technical excellence
- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data solutions and ML pipelines with data validation and governance
- Govern productionized models with monitoring, alerts, and integration with production systems and APIs
- Drive development of analytic data products, pilots, and POCs aligned with architecture and data strategies
- Develop and manage the Underwriting Analytics Portfolio roadmap and coordinate with partners to prioritize work
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience
- 3+ years of management experience (insurance industry preferred)
- 3+ years with AWS Cloud Services, Python, and Databricks
- 2+ years with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Proficiency in SQL, data governance, and cloud/data tooling
