Overview In this role, you lead geotechnical efforts for trenchless projects, guiding field investigations, data analysis, and deliverables within HDR's Trenchless Services. You'll coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, mentor staff, and integrate geotechnical insights into design and construction. You'll work with clients and field teams to address subsurface challenges, supporting project success across regions. Responsibilities- Lead geotechnical investigations for trenchless projects, including field work, drilling oversight, data collection, lab coordination, analysis, and reporting
- Generate geotechnical and engineering reports, and deliverables for project teams and clients
- Represent HDR in field assignments and client meetings, coordinating with Operations and geotechnical staff
- Manage geotechnical data management using OpenGround and/or gINT; create boring logs and cross sections for design drawings
- Quality control of geological data and geotechnical analyses, including HFIAs and subsurface interpretation
- Advance software capabilities (gINT, OpenGround, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD Civil 3D) for trenchless deliverables
- Lead and manage a team of geotechnical professionals; plan resources, scheduling, risk management, and performance reviews
- Travel for field work and oversee field reconnaissance, logging, sampling, and trenchless construction inspection
- Support cross-regional Trenchless engineering, design, and field services initiatives and contribute to multidisciplinary project delivery
- Mentor staff, develop annual goals, and participate in trainings; contribute to business growth of Trenchless Services
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related areas
- Professional registration, license, or certification may be required based on role
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and lead teams

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency with gINT, OpenGround, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD Civil 3D; MS Word and Excel
