Overview

In this role, you will serve as a global technical leader for crimping from concept to manufacturing release. You will collaborate across product engineering, manufacturing, quality, tooling, and labs to raise product performance and process capability. You will drive standardization of crimping methods and contribute to global quality and reliability improvements. You will shape design decisions and lead initiatives that advance our crimping technology and operational excellence. Responsibilities
  • Lead crimping activities across the product development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing release
  • Serve as the global subject matter expert for crimping processes, tooling, equipment, and specifications
  • Collaborate with product and tooling engineers to optimize designs for manufacturability and reduced development time
  • Develop and standardize crimping processes, inspection methods, and procedures for repeatability
  • Lead failure analysis investigations and drive E8D problem-solving for crimp-related issues
  • Support customer quality initiatives by investigating issues and coordinating with customers
  • Identify and implement inspection technologies, measurement systems, and equipment improvements
  • Design, build, or source fixtures and tooling to enhance lab and production operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, equipment, safety, and efficiency
  • Provide technical training and knowledge sharing to global teams on crimping standards and failure analysis
  • Collaborate with lab leadership to improve safety, efficiency, and capability
  • Support technical purchasing related to crimp tooling, applicators, and lab equipment
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, or product development
  • Working knowledge of Siemens NX design software
  • Experience analyzing technical problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical discussions and influencing engineering decisions
  • Experience with crimping processes, tooling, inspection methods, or related manufacturing technologies
  • Experience leading structured problem-solving and corrective action initiatives (e.g., E8D)
  • Knowledge of failure analysis techniques and root cause investigation methods
