Overview You will provide independent engineering advisory for DOE-related financing programs, focusing on instrumentation, controls, automation, and monitoring. In this role, you collaborate with cross-functional teams to support lender decisions and project governance. You will produce defensible, lender-ready outputs and validate technical and commercial interfaces. The opportunity offers exposure to large-scale energy projects and DOE/LPO processes in a high-impact, remote-enabled environment.

Responsibilities- Deliver independent engineering advisory for EDF program with emphasis on I&C, automation, SIS, and monitoring
- Review project documentation, evaluate interfaces, identify risks and mitigations, validate assumptions
- Support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews; produce I&C drawings, control narratives, instrument indexes, and loop checks
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders for lender decisions
- Participate in data room reviews, site observations, risk register updates, and preparation of Independent Engineer reports
- Ensure outputs are suitable for lender review and align with DOE/LPO financing requirements
Key requirements- 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, or advisory experience
- Bachelor in Engineering or related technical field
- Credentials such as PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI preferred
