Overview

In this role you drive federal design projects by leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality, compliant designs on time and within budget. You'll serve as the primary client interface, ensuring federal requirements are met while coordinating across architects, engineers, and stakeholders. You will implement QA/QC, manage execution plans, and support business development for government work. This position blends delivery leadership with strict regulatory and funding considerations, in a collaborative, growth minded environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to deliver cohesive technical outputs across project stages
  • Enforce QA/QC processes throughout design development
  • Manage project budgets, scope, forecasts, and financial targets
  • Act as primary client interface, presenting design decisions and ensuring federal objectives are met
  • Develop and manage detailed project execution plans, schedules, and design workflows using digital platforms
  • Ensure on time delivery of design milestones; manage change, risk, and scope within project controls
  • Coordinate work across architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders for integrated design components
  • Prepare and deliver reports, technical docs, and presentations focused on federal standards and funding
  • Contribute to pursuit strategies, proposals, and approaches for federal projects
  • Provide leadership as a 'seller doer', supporting both project delivery and business development
  • Travel up to 20% with possible overnight stays
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of federal market experience
  • Min. 5+ years leading large multi discipline design and engineering projects
  • Strong financial background related to projects and client management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience reviewing drawings and multi discipline designs on digital platforms
  • Experience with Autodesk platforms (ACC or BIM)
  • Ability to obtain CPM certification within 30 days of hire
  • BA in Architecture or engineering related field
  • U.S. citizenship required
