Overview In this role you will design and deliver data and AI solutions using the Databricks ecosystem on AWS. You will shape conversational analytics with Databricks Genie and build orchestrated AI agents that operate across data platforms. You'll define semantic foundations, governance, and the lakehouse/warehouse models to ground agents in governed business context. You will work across data architecture, AI experimentation, and production validation to scale agentic capabilities. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role focused on delivering scalable, governed data-and-AI capabilities with real impact.
Responsibilities- Architect and deliver data and AI solutions across Databricks, emphasizing architecture, workspace design, and governance.
- Design and implement conversational analytics using Databricks Genie, including ontology and Genie AI Gateway.
- Build, orchestrate, validate, and evaluate AI agents on AWS and Databricks prior to production.
- Implement retrieval and grounding using Databricks Vector Search and general vector search techniques.
- Define ontology, knowledge graph, and semantic layer foundations for governed business context.
- Architect data warehouse and lakehouse solutions with sound data modeling across layers.
- Establish data cataloging practices and maintain the business glossary with governance teams.
Key requirements- Deep expertise in the Databricks ecosystem and architecture from design to production.
- Hands-on knowledge of Databricks Genie, Genie Ontology, and Genie AI Gateway.
- Experience with agentic AI implementation, building, validating, and evaluating agents on AWS and Databricks.
- Knowledge of AgentBricks and Databricks Vector Search or general vector search techniques.
- Strong data warehouse and lakehouse experience with data modeling fundamentals.
- Foundational knowledge of ontology, knowledge graphs, and semantic layers.
