Overview In this role you will lead structural bridge design for highway and pedestrian projects, helping transportation clients solve complex issues. You will mentor staff, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and drive project delivery from schematic to contract documents. You will also contribute to client relations and business development while upholding AMT's values in a collaborative, employee-owned environment. Responsibilities- Lead technical design on bridge and structural projects with high complexity
- Plan, direct, and monitor multi-discipline projects and team staffing
- Coordinate client relations, marketing, and contractual aspects in meetings
- Oversee schematic, design development, and documentation sessions with PMs and disciplines
- Ensure deliverables meet standards and client/AMT requirements
- Implement QA/QC procedures and review bridge plans
- Mentor and supervise less-experienced staff and support professional development
- Maintain professional engineering licensure and stay current with codes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- PE licensure or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months
- 10+ years of project and client management experience
- MS Office experience
- Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities
- Willingness to perform hands-on bridge condition inspections and work at heights
- Travel flexibility; valid driver's license
