Mission Integration Engineer (Security Products) - Top Secret Clearance

Overview

In this role you will own the planning, execution, and delivery of security-related certification and integration efforts for Starshield. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and security teams to keep programs aligned and meet regulatory requirements. You will interface with government customers, delivering credible written and verbal updates. You will drive secure mission-focused design decisions and ensure on-time product deliveries, contributing to critical space security initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute compliance and certification tasks with U.S. government partners
  • Produce accreditation deliverables within tight timelines and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate design, analysis, and test data packages for government briefings
  • Identify and close technical and schedule issues impacting customer requirements
  • Develop technical rationales, mitigate risks, and keep deliveries on schedule
  • Lead program milestone reviews, technical interchange meetings, and working groups
  • Negotiate and deliver technical products and customer data requests
  • Coordinate certification tasks with technical teams to meet customer expectations
  • Partner with security and engineering on design decisions satisfying security requirements
  • Act as primary customer interface and security liaison with mission stakeholders
  • Educate customers on SpaceX designs and methodologies across program phases
  • Distill customer requirements into actionable development objectives
  • Ensure contract deliverables are completed on time
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
  • 2+ years in technical program management, systems engineering, or mission integration engineering
  • Experience interfacing with government customers on certification or accreditation processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially customer-facing technical writing and briefings
  • Experience presenting to and negotiating with external customers (preferably government)
  • Experience with space, defense, or security-critical systems
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with initiative and clear communication
