Responsibilities- Design, implement and improve manufacturing processes for fiber optic cable production
- Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain process documentation (SOPs and work instructions)
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve defects and maintain product integrity
- Work with vendors on equipment upgrades and maintenance strategies
- Collaborate with R&D on process requirements for new fiber optic cable designs
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput
- Support cost reduction projects without compromising quality
- Provide technical support to production teams for process-related issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
Key requirements- Bachelor in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related Engineering field
- 1 year of practical manufacturing experience (internships or co-ops considered)
- Knowledge of extrusion, polymer processing, and optical fiber handling is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with SPC and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
