Overview

As Construction Manager, you lead a team of Project Managers to deliver multifamily renovation and capital improvement projects across the Mid-Atlantic. You help shape project execution, safety, and client relationships, driving on-time, on-budget results. Your leadership supports growth and high standards in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers impact through complex portfolios and strategic alignment with owners and investors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers across multiple active projects
  • Oversee regional multifamily renovation and capital improvement programs
  • Ensure work aligns with contract documents, codes, quality standards, and owner expectations
  • Build strong client relationships to drive growth
  • Manage bidding, proposals, contracts, and purchase orders
  • Promote jobsite safety per OSHA and company policies
  • Develop, track, and manage project budgets from pre-construction to closeout
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and quality metrics to meet objectives
  • Conduct site visits to verify progress, safety, and timelines
  • Collaborate with design/pre-construction on scopes, specs, and budgeting
  • Prepare project updates, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior leadership
  • Identify and mitigate risks while driving efficiencies and continuous improvement
Key requirements
  • 7+ years of construction management experience with multifamily renovations and value-add projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Experience leading construction teams across multiple projects and markets
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting, and industry best practices
  • Experience with competitive bid processes, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration
  • Proven ability to create, manage, and forecast detailed project budgets
  • Strong network of subcontractors, vendors, and industry relationships
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with owners, clients, contractors, and project teams
  • Self-motivated with ability to operate independently and drive accountability
  • Proficiency in project management and construction software (Buildertrend) and MS Office
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally
