Overview As Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance. You will lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and budgeting/forecasting, while managing a team and cross-functional collaboration to improve financial efficiency. You'll drive process improvements in close and reporting, leveraging systems to automate tasks. This role offers the chance to shape financial controls, support strategic planning, and partner with leadership to scale operations.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and procedures
- Lead and manage the month-end close process and financial reporting
- Oversee and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasts
- Lead accounts payable team and ensure timely payments
- Review sales tax returns and prepare schedules for income taxes
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and special projects
- Identify and implement process improvements in close and reporting processes
- Assist in developing new processes and documenting controls for growing business
Key requirements- 8+ years of experience with at least 4 years in a management role
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
- Proficient with Microsoft Products
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel and executives
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Solver is a plus
