Overview In this role you will ensure environmental compliance and reporting for the mill, overseeing the effluent system, SDS program, and related permitting under the EHS Manager. You will partner with operations to optimize environmental performance and safety, handling KPDES and GHG reporting, lab certification, and beneficial reuse initiatives. You will drive continuous improvement in compliance, safety, and sustainability across environmental programs. This position offers the chance to impact regulatory adherence and environmental stewardship at the Maysville Mill.

Responsibilities- Manage effluent system including chemical feed rates, usage, and deliveries
- Submit KPDES reports and renewals; conduct effluent testing for process, storm water, and toxicity
- Submit Water Withdrawal reports monthly; perform TCLP testing
- Oversee GHG testing and annual EPA reporting; conduct weekly GHG emissions tests
- Maintain SDS library and SDS website; train new hires on environmental policies and compliance
- Organize annual dredging projects and manage beneficial reuse program of effluent solids
- Maintain and update environmental and lab procedures; supervise lab certification activities
- Coordinate with maintenance for effluent equipment notifications and scheduling
- Conduct process control testing for effluent daily; complete fiber loss analysis bi-weekly for IP sustainability group
Key requirements- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and environmental areas
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and how to apply them
- Ability to work in a team, with safety and results focus
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to obtain Kentucky Wastewater 3 License within 1 year
