HVM ME Shift Process Engineer

Overview

In this role you will optimize high-volume semiconductor manufacturing processes to boost yield, quality, and output. You'll work with equipment engineers and shift teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvements. You will apply AI-enabled analytics and engineering methods to support data-driven decisions. This position supports a 12-hour shift schedule with a rotating day/night cycle, contributing to Micron's manufacturing ramp and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, efficiency, and equipment effectiveness
  • Analyze process performance using SPC, FDC, DOE, and other methodologies to identify trends and drive problem solving
  • Lead issue resolution on processes, tools, defects, yield, and output-related concerns
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, checklists, documentation, and training materials
  • Apply AI-enabled analytics tools and data visualization to identify improvement opportunities and support data-driven decisions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience
  • More than 2 years' experience as a semiconductor process engineer
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment on 12-hour shifts, rotating 3-4 days/week with day/night rotation
  • Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Proficiency with programming/scripting/analytics/visualization tools (Python, Java, MATLAB, Tableau, or MS Office)
  • Experience analyzing complex manufacturing data and making process-related decisions
