Overview In this role, you lead finance transformation initiatives to simplify costs, enhance service levels, and digitalize processes within corporate finance. You'll work closely with client teams to design operating and service delivery models, driving automation and AI-enabled improvements at scale. You will manage client relationships, deliverables, and cross-functional teams, shaping finance functions to meet growing complexity. This is a client-facing, impact-oriented role in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on measurable outcomes and innovation.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end Finance Transformation projects across areas like function assessments, capability stand-up, operating model design, and service delivery model programs (shared services, centers of excellence, outsourcing, GBS)
- Drive cost reduction, process optimization, automation, and working capital optimization
- Manage client relationships, ownership of deliverables, proactive communications, and project team leadership
- Provide market-informed perspectives on finance and accounting trends, emphasizing Intelligent Automation, machine learning, and AI in finance
- Deliver high-quality client work and present deliverables while anticipating client needs
- Identify opportunities for additional value creation across Finance and broader G&A functions (IT, HR, Operations)
- Support leadership in developing tools, methodologies, playbooks, automation and AI accelerators to scale the practice
- Proactively identify business development opportunities and participate in client pursuits
- Mentor and coach junior staff
- Assist in advancing new tools and playbooks to improve client outcomes and firm capabilities
Key requirements- 5+ years of post-graduate experience for Director; 8+ years for Senior Director
- Proven project management and leadership in finance transformation and AI-enabled automation
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- Expertise in process improvement, automation technologies, AI, and/or service delivery model design and implementation
- Deep knowledge of finance and accounting best practices, processes, systems, and governance
- Excellent teamwork, client-facing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI offices as needed
