Overview

In this role you will lead electrical design for manufacturing facilities, driving power distribution projects and mentoring a design team. You'll collaborate with our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice to deliver high quality proposals and deliverables for clients. Expect to shape capital projects, develop client relationships, and grow as a world class engineering leader within a supportive, growth minded culture.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical design packages and power distribution for manufacturing clients
  • Lead engineers and designers through project phases from concept to construction documents
  • Build and maintain relationships within the region and with the Practice vision
  • Own client development, project profiles, and strategic project planning
  • Mentor and develop Barry-Wehmiller Design group professionals
  • Develop new electrical engineering engagements and identify value propositions
  • Contribute to day to day client engagement and team collaboration
  • Travel as required for project needs including installation, startup, and meetings in Pasadena area
Key requirements
  • 15+ years of facilities electrical design experience
  • 3+ years as an electrical engineering design manager (preferred)
  • Experience designing for food, beverage, pharma, biotech or industrial manufacturing facilities
  • Ability to present designs to clients
  • Ability to lead an electrical design team
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong written and verbal communication for reports and presentations
  • Willingness to travel for project needs
  • BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Management (preferred)
