Overview In this role, you will design and optimize system power modeling approaches to support AMD products across AI, data centers, PCs, and embedded systems. You will build scalable modeling frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and optimize features on schedule. The work combines software and hardware modeling to drive innovation and address power/ performance challenges. This position offers visibility and the chance to impact product planning and validation at scale.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement System Power Modeling methodologies and frameworks
- Develop software/hardware modeling frameworks
- Cover diverse system architectures aligned with product planning segments
- Analyze systems and profile power impact from components, features and workloads
- Drive technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development and methodology enhancements
- Collaborate with multiple teams and track test execution to ensure features are validated and optimized on time
- Lead collaborative approaches with multiple teams

- PC system and APU/SOC power management
- Low power measurement methodologies
- Power modeling concepts and methodologies
- Programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)
- Debug techniques and methodologies
- Experience with lab equipment (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes)
- Board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization
- Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategies
