Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Weir, you drive safe, efficient production through process and equipment optimization. You'll work within cross-functional teams to improve flow, quality, and cost, while introducing new technologies and automation. Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize processes and equipment across the full production cycle, from scrap to finished product, to improve flow, safety, and quality.
  • Identify, validate, and implement new technologies and automation to boost efficiency and safety.
  • Lead cross-functional projects with Facilities Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Controls to scope, purchase, install, and commission equipment.
  • Apply data-driven methods and statistical analysis to troubleshoot process control issues and own problems to resolution.
  • Demonstrate commitment to zero-harm safety and support a world-class safety culture.
  • Minimal travel for site visits as needed.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, or electrical/controls engineering experience in an industrial environment
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve quality/control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMI, and control systems
  • Project management experience
  • Strong communication across departments and with vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive change
