Responsibilities- Design and develop control and automation systems for gas distribution and water treatment processes
- Analyze system requirements and design control system architecture
- Program, test, and maintain PIL controllers, PLCs, and SCADA systems
- Optimize control strategies for pressure, flow, and level control
- Integrate sensors, actuators, flow meters, and analyzers
- Ensure compliance with municipal codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards
- Develop and maintain documentation of designs, modifications, and performance
- Support maintenance and upgrades of existing control systems in municipal plants and gas stations
- Test systems to diagnose and resolve issues
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to integrate controls into larger projects
Key requirements- Experience managing Control System projects from initiation to completion
- Strong ability to interpret P&IDs and Cause and Effect diagrams
- Proficiency in PLC programming and developing from control narratives
- Solid understanding of instrumentation and low voltage electrical systems
- Knowledge of PIL-based systems, PLCs (e.g., Allen Bradley), and HMI/SCADA platforms
- Experience with flow control, pressure monitoring, level sensing, RTUs, and SCADA integration
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices for critical infrastructure control systems
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize and work with multiple stakeholders
