Overview As a SharePoint Architect and Administrator, you will manage and optimize our SharePoint platform within a distributed IT landscape. You'll plan and govern scalable environments, drive migrations (2010 to 2013), and ensure alignment with corporate goals. You will collaborate with IT teams and communicate complex concepts to senior management, shaping best practices and evaluating solutions. This role combines hands-on administration with strategic architecture in a management consulting setting that involves travel.
Responsibilities- Day-to-day administration of SharePoint environments, including maintenance, on-call support, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Plan server and network layout, load balancing strategies, and governance framework
- Collaborate with IT groups to align strategy with corporate goals and objectives
- Communicate complex concepts to senior management
- Develop and evolve best practices, standards, and guidelines for architecture and management of solutions
- Assist in evaluating solutions, including custom and third-party applications
- Architect for optimal performance tailored to needs
- Manage all aspects of the SharePoint platform as a service
- Plan and execute migration from SharePoint 2010 to 2013
Key requirements- 7+ years as SharePoint administrator
- System integration and architecture knowledge in a distributed environment
- Strong SharePoint expertise, networking and load balancing concepts
- Experience with IP Pooling, WIP, and VIP configuration
- Windows and Unix administration, design and implementation
- Ability to communicate with senior management
- Experience in management consulting and willingness to travel
- SharePoint 2010 and 2013, migration planning
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent; or 3 years progressive experience in lieu of education
