Overview In this Plant Finance Manager role, you ensure accurate financial control and reporting at the North Vernon plant. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and capital decision making to support manufacturing excellence. You collaborate with internal and external auditors, tax authorities, and cross-functional teams to align with GAAP and SOX requirements. You will lead the accounting staff, deliver timely financial insights, and pursue cost reductions and profit improvements. Responsibilities- Plan and manage financial control for the facility, including profit planning, forecasts, budgets, cost standards and capital investments
- Compare actual performance to budget and operating plan; provide interpretation to plant manager and group controller
- Lead special projects, cost analyses, and new business evaluations to drive cost reductions and profitability
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls; coordinate with auditors and tax authorities
- Prepare and review ledgers, plant and corporate reports, and supporting schedules; ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory reporting
- Oversee inventory controls and manufacturing cost accuracy; manage local accounting personnel
- Collaborate with Program Management Team on IPM and Agile tasks
- Support statutory reporting and local policy documentation
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years progressive leadership experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing, accounting, and finance concepts; familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, Plex) and tools (HFM)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
