Overview

As Theater & Entertainment Tax Manager, you lead tax engagements for diverse clients, partnering with CPAs and industry leaders across major offices. You'll supervise staff, manage multiple engagements, and develop strategic tax plans to optimize obligations. The role blends technical tax work with client relationships and mentoring, contributing to a growth minded, collaborative culture. You'll drive complex research, address controversies, and support firm-wide excellence in service.

Responsibilities
  • Review tax returns for accuracy across individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations
  • Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities
  • Handle and resolve tax controversies
  • Oversee tax research projects for a variety of clients and industries
  • Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines
  • Provide guidance and counseling in evaluations as part of professional development
  • Serve as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation is required
  • At least 5 years of prior tax department experience in public accounting with leadership of multiple engagements
  • Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
  • Exceptional client service and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
