Responsibilities- Handle legal work on assigned cases
- Aggressively pursue files referred to Staff Counsel by Claims Department
- Create and maintain case handling strategies including key factors
- Develop, organize and maintain pleadings, briefs and memorandums
- Prepare and submit status reports to claims handlers at regular intervals
- Ensure proper documentation and organization of files
- Provide prompt responses to inquiries; maintain timely communication
- Utilize case management software to track notes, diary, calendar and billing as per guidelines
Key requirements- 3+ years of experience as a trial attorney
- Handling of insurance defense work preferred
- Member of the State Bar with current licensing and CE requirements
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Remote work eligibility and residence in San Antonio or Austin, TX area
