Overview As a Construction Cost Estimator at Oracle, you will develop conceptual to detailed data center cost estimates across multiple disciplines. You will create transparent cost models and Basis of Estimate packages, enabling cross-functional teams to manage scope, risk, and budget. You'll work with Design, Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, and Procurement to ensure traceability from quantities to budgets. This hands-on role supports Oracle's data center delivery with governance-driven estimating. You will contribute to value engineering and market-informed decisions that drive reliable project delivery.

Responsibilities- Develop construction estimates at conceptual, design-development, procurement, and detailed-design stages across multiple disciplines
- Prepare and validate quantity takeoffs from drawings, BIM models, P&IDs, equipment lists, and design documents
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs to build accurate cost build-ups
- Structure estimates using CBS/WBS with traceability to budget lines and work packages
- Incorporate productivity, sequencing, site logistics, regional market conditions into estimates
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering to validate scope, quantities, and interfaces
- Prepare Basis of Estimate packages detailing scope, assumptions, and methodologies
- Identify cost risks and value-engineering opportunities and communicate to senior estimators
- Review bids for completeness and cost alignment; support procurement and bid packages
- Assist with change-order evaluations and align with scope and budget
- Support development of cost baselines, budgets, and forecasts; provide variance analyses
- Prepare summaries, dashboards, and presentation materials for Finance and leadership
- Validate inputs, calculations, and documentation before review
- Collaborate across Design, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Finance, and Delivery teams
- Contribute to template and process improvements for estimating workflows
Key requirements- 5+ years in construction estimating, cost management, quantity surveying, preconstruction, project controls, or related capital-project delivery
- Experience preparing estimates for multi-discipline projects (infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical)
- Ability to perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, models, P&IDs, one-lines, and equipment schedules
- Knowledge of labor productivity, pricing, subcontract costs, escalation, contingency, and markups
- Experience reviewing bids, reconciling scope, and identifying cost or commercial risks
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet-based cost-modeling skills with attention to traceability and documentation
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to work independently on deliverables
