Overview In this role you will help sustain and scale AWS backbone networks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver simple, repeatable networking solutions. You will support next-generation data center networking, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness for customers worldwide. You will own or contribute to deployment, sustaining engineering, and tooling efforts that enable faster roll-out of new designs. Responsibilities- Partner with automation teams to define scalable tooling and processes
- Lead network sustaining engineering, deployment, scaling, and technology refresh initiatives
- Provide critical network support during large-scale events and diagnose/mitigate issues
- Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations
- Collaborate with Network/Infrastructure, Systems, and Software Eng teams on roll-out and tooling
- Maintain and enforce networking toolset standards and policies
- Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
- Create and review network implementation and deployment documentation, issues, and SOPs
Key requirements- 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
- 4+ years of Linux/Unix environment experience
- 4+ years of automation scripting (Python, Bash, Shell, Perl)
