Overview In this role you lead technical work for energy efficiency and decarbonization programs, validating calculations, guiding program decisions, and enhancing tools. You will collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors to deliver reliable results and scalable solutions. The position emphasizes accuracy, mentorship of junior engineers, and continuous improvement within a hybrid work model. You help shape efficient energy delivery and innovative program outcomes that support the company's sustainable energy goals.
Responsibilities- Validate, automate, and improve energy savings and incentive calculations aligned with methods and standards
- Perform engineering quality checks on vendor-serviced programs and resolve data or documentation issues
- Provide technical guidance to program managers, technical teams, sales, and product teams on energy efficiency and decarbonization requirements
- Support products and programs post-launch by partnering with business and technology teams to enhance tools and processes for greater rigor and scalability
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6+ years of relevant energy efficiency or energy policy experience
- Experience with commercial/industrial and/or residential energy efficiency programs and savings calculations
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with attention to detail and adaptability
- Preferred: CEM and/or BPI certification and experience with energy calculations, building modelling, program planning, design, implementation, or energy policy
