Overview In this role you will design and develop tooling and fixtures for new products and improvements, support plant operations, and analyze materials and processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure parts meet engineering specs and safety standards, and you will contribute to training and problem solving. The position combines hands-on design with analysis using CAD tools to drive reliable production. You will influence product quality, tooling efficiency, and process performance while upholding safety and company policies.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test prototype/production tooling for new and improved products
- Specify and modify components to ensure conformance with design and performance specs for plastic containers
- Research, design, evaluate, and oversee installation of mechanical products and processes to meet requirements
- Investigate failures and provide recommendations to eliminate defects and malfunctions
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCad, SolidWorks, Pro/E) for design and analysis
- Conduct feasibility and performance testing of plastics materials and processing equipment
- Design testing apparatus and develop procedures for product testing
- Coordinate training programs and support problem-solving teams
- Assist with administration of company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by Product Development Manager
