Overview In this role, you will design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes for fiberglass pipe, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive quality, efficiency, and cost improvements. You will lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean and Six Sigma, support new product introduction and equipment validation, and ensure safe, compliant production. You will translate data into actionable improvements and develop SOPs to standardize operations. This is a hands-on role with a clear impact on production performance and product quality.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions and production methods
- Analyze workflows to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma and other methodologies
- Create and maintain SOPs and manufacturing documentation
- Support NPI activities including process validation and production readiness
- Design or specify tooling, fixtures, and equipment to boost productivity and repeatability
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve nonconformances and improve process capability
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends and drive improvements
- Support capital equipment selection, installation, commissioning and validation
- Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical training and support to production personnel
- Contribute to cost reduction through process optimization and cycle time improvements
Key requirements- 2-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, or automation)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
