Overview

As Associate Mechanical Principal in Dallas, you lead complex engineering and design projects within McKinstry's DBOM framework, shaping high performing, energy efficient buildings. You will engage with clients to understand long term needs, advance best in class design delivery, and represent McKinstry as a trusted industry partner. You drive strategy, business development, and leadership for the Engineering & Design group while mentoring staff. This role blends technical leadership with client influence to deliver sustainable outcomes and client profitability. Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of complex projects for specific offerings/verticals/clients
  • Lead development with internal and external partners of best-in-class design delivery
  • Act as a thought-leader and SME internally and represent McKinstry in the industry
  • Lead strategic Engineering & Design group initiatives
  • Engage in all aspects of business development and sales
  • Develop and build strong customer relationships
  • Build and execute on appropriate sales and proposal strategies
  • Support recruiting by organizing and leading interviews for mid-level positions
  • 40%: Business development/project Sales support
  • 40%: project delivery for large or complex projects
  • 10%: Coaching and development of direct reports
  • 10%: Industry Engagement
Key requirements
  • Twenty (20) years' experience in the industry with proven team leadership and project management experience
  • Professional Engineering License or reciprocity within 90 days of hire (preferably Colorado or Utah)
  • Demonstrated public speaking experience with ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Experience building credibility and positively influencing senior stakeholders
