Overview In this role you ensure the quality management system stays compliant and effective across the Huntsville facility. You lead and coordinate audits, maintain ISO/AS9100 alignment, and guide corrective actions for product and process issues. You work with cross-functional teams to support NPI and customer requirements, driving data-based improvements. This position offers impact by shaping quality practices on defense/aerospace programs and collaborating with leadership to sustain certifications.
Responsibilities- ISO coordination and ownership of the QMS
- Lead external audits for customers and registrars; support plant/customer validation reviews
- Report on QMS performance to management; develop and maintain procedures per ISO standards (13485, AS9100)
- Develop and revise quality documentation (PFMEA, QC plans, contract reviews)
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and drive CAPA actions
- Participate in FRACAS for root cause/corrective actions on returns
- Manage Material Review Board dispositions for suspected material
- Support New Product Introduction activities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline
- 12+ years in Quality/Regulatory Engineering in manufacturing (prefer electronics)
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001/IATF16949 and related standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical prints and standards
- Experience with quality tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans, Six Sigma, Pareto, APQP, PPAP)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile databases is a plus
- US Citizenship due to ITAR requirements
