Overview

In this role you will develop, optimize, and maintain precision CNC programs to manufacture complex medical device components. You will collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure quality, dimensional accuracy, and efficient machining. You'll drive improvements in tooling, setups, and processes to enable scalable production. This position offers hands-on work with state-of-the-art machining centers and real impact on product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Responsibilities
  • Develop CNC programs and tooling strategies using Fusion360 and Autodesk PowerMILL for Milling, Swiss Lathe, Wire EDM, and other machining of complex components
  • Analyze drawings, 3D models, and specs to determine optimal tool paths, cutting conditions, and techniques
  • Select tools, feeds, and speeds based on geometry, fixtures, and machine capabilities
  • Follow SOPs and programming policies to ensure traceability and conformance to specs
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production on setup activities, prototyping programs, tooling, and fixture development
  • Maintain setup documentation, tooling information, and fixture data for efficient operations
  • Participate in continuous improvement to reduce cycle times, increase machine efficiency, and improve quality
  • Use Fusion360, PowerMILL, and SolidWorks to evaluate work holding and fixtures and to develop prototype programs for qualification of new approaches
Key requirements
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5
  • Strong G-code programming and CNC machining principles
  • Tooling design and selection for complex, precision medical components
  • Background in machine tooling, machining techniques, and CNC setup/troubleshooting (Milling, Swiss Lathe, WEDM)
  • Effective verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with attention to detail
  • Understanding post processors and their role for various machining centers
