Overview In this role you will lead the Pacific South CI regional team to drive profitable growth through new business, rate, and retention. You'll manage field operations and partner with local leaders to align with the company's growth and underwriting standards. You'll oversee P&L for a sizable middle-market book and shape regional strategy, broker relationships, and product education. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role at a global insurer.

Responsibilities- Directly manage Commercial Insurance Managers in the Pacific South region, including performance management, onboarding, and development
- Oversee workflows and resources to ensure efficient field operations
- Hold P&L responsibility for middle market P&C business in the region
- Coordinate agency management and production across the product portfolio
- Identify market opportunities and tailor approaches to drive results
- Lead business and premium development activities and advise on sales execution
- Manage regional producer relationships and provide product education
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute marketing strategies
- Work with region managers to achieve underwriting results in new and renewal business
- Ensure underwriting quality and control authority violations stay within thresholds
- Serve as primary contact for larger Commercial Insurance clients in the region
- Collaborate on expense management with Home Office for assigned branches
Key requirements- Significant commercial insurance underwriting experience in P&C
- Demonstrated enterprise-level P&L ownership for a sizable book of business
- Leadership experience with Commercial Insurance managers, underwriters, and field leaders
- Strong command of middle market underwriting, broker/agency distribution, and field operations
- Proven ability to build strategic relationships with brokers, agents, and key clients
- Advanced marketing, business development, and portfolio management skills
- Strong communication and executive presence
- Bachelor in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or Economics; MBA preferred
