Overview In this role, you will coordinate the planning and installation of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment across education capital projects. You will work with district and college teams, A/E consultants, and vendors to align layouts, inventory, and schedules with campus standards. The position combines design input, on-site coordination, and procurement tasks to ensure spaces are ready for occupancy before the new semester. You'll operate within a broader program management context, contributing to safe, efficient, and well-organized environments. Responsibilities- Coordinate FF&E and move activities with Program Manager, Construction Management, College Project Managers, and external consultants
- Provide FF&E layouts within architectural floor plans and comment on MEP plans for coordination
- Inventory existing FF&E and plan for removal, salvage, or reuse; assist in selecting new FF&E items
- Align new FF&E with campus standards and resolve discrepancies
- Plan removal, storage, and relocation during construction; coordinate on-site with moving consultants and vendors
- Coordinate FF&E and move schedule with the Construction Manager for deliveries and installations
- Process POs and contracts to ensure timely delivery and space readiness before occupancy
- Inventory FF&E delivery items
Key requirements- BA/BS + 2 years relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency
- Five years of full-time experience in facilities design or capital projects coordination (preferred)
- Two years in education facilities design, planning, and construction (preferred)
- AutoCAD experience (preferred)
- Space planning of furniture and equipment (preferred)
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) (preferred)
- Construction management experience (preferred)
- FF&E procurement experience (preferred)
- Local worker PLAs, prevailing wage/DIR experience, public works projects (preferred)
- Graduation from a college/university with an architecture, interior architecture, engineering or construction management degree (preferred)
- Residence near San Bernardino (preferred)
- CCM credential and LEED accreditation (preferred)
