Overview

In this role you provide legal counsel to a global healthcare company focusing on U.S. law, regulations, and industry standards. You will be part of the Clinical Commercial and Corporate Law team, collaborating with cross-functional partners to shape strategy and manage risk. You handle a range of commercial and regulatory matters, including contract review and product lifecycle considerations, while promoting compliant, innovative solutions. This position offers growth, a broad scope across departments, and the chance to impact policy and business priorities at Novo Nordisk Inc.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as legal advisor for assigned functions and help shape strategy and initiatives
  • Advise on cross-functional initiatives including promotional material review
  • Flexibly support different teams, brands, and functional areas to meet evolving business needs
  • Provide timely, practical, compliant solutions for commercial legal issues and risk management
  • Identify new laws/regulations and help develop policies and training
  • Advise on interactions with health care providers, patients, and payors in line with fraud and abuse laws (e.g., U.S. Anti-Kickback Statute) and industry codes
  • Participate in product lifecycle planning
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • J.D. with NJ bar admission or ability to obtain limited in-house counsel license
  • 4+ years of legal experience preferred, with at least one of: FDA, pharmaceutical sector, or product liability litigation
  • Prior experience with pharmaceutical product liability defense or enforcement litigation preferred
  • Experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical industry areas (FDA, advertising and promotion, anti-kickback, antitrust, privacy) preferred
