Overview In this role you will lead the financial strategy for EOPSS, guiding the development and oversight of a $2 billion operating and capital portfolio. You will partner with senior leadership to translate priorities into financially sustainable plans and manage cross-agency budget exercises. You'll provide strategic fiscal insight, control spending, and speak for the Secretariat on budget matters. Responsibilities- Lead operating and capital budget planning, forecasting, and spending plan development
- Deliver fiscal analysis and translate complex financial information into actionable insights for senior leadership
- Develop strategies to align resources with EOPSS priorities and long-term objectives
- Establish spending controls and monitor fiscal performance with corrective actions when needed
- Conduct expenditure approvals and budget adjustments within delegated authority
- Provide functional leadership across all EOPSS agencies under the Chief of Strategy and Finance
- Represent EOPSS on budget and financial matters with internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements- Six years of professional financial management experience in budgeting, accounting, auditing, or related areas
- At least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Substitution options: certificate for one year, Bachelor's for two years, Graduate degree for three years, Doctorate for four years
