Responsibilities- Lead architecture, design, and continuous improvement of enterprise observability platforms (APM, infrastructure monitoring, session replay, log analytics)
- Define scalable, integrated telemetry solutions delivering end-to-end visibility across apps, infrastructure, and user experience
- Establish architecture patterns, governance, and integration frameworks for consistent telemetry and insights
- Partner with Engineering, SRE, Product, and Infrastructure to embed observability in the SDLC and improve MTTD/MTTR and resilience
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies (distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, AI-driven observability) aligned with enterprise strategy and cost goals
- Drive platform standardization, signal quality, and integration with critical services to support operational excellence
- Influence vendor roadmaps, resolve issues, and provide strategic leadership across teams and domains
Key requirements- 10+ years of experience in observability, APM, and infrastructure monitoring with architecture ownership
- Strong background with APM platforms (New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog) and experience with distributed tracing, transaction monitoring, and service dependency mapping
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring platforms (Zabbix, Prometheus, Azure Monitor) and telemetry across compute, network, storage, and hybrid cloud
- Experience with session replay and user experience platforms (FullStory) and correlating user behavior with backend performance
- Proven ability in log analytics platforms (Splunk, Elastic), including ingestion, routing, indexing, and retention
- Ability to design cross-platform observability architecture integrating APM, logs, and sessions with cloud, CI/CD, and enterprise systems
- Scripting/automation proficiency (Python, Bash) for configuration, scaling, and governance
