Overview In this role you will serve as the liaison between Savannah Service Center and backshop engineering, guiding complex engineering tasks and coordinating shop floor support. You will manage task delivery dates, schedules, and cross-team communication to support customer aircraft needs. You will apply resources strategically to address break/fix issues while minimizing overhead costs. You will lead a multi-discipline team and mentor others to advance skills and training. Responsibilities- Lead and support a multi-discipline engineering team (engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, Quality Control, management)
- Coordinate RMC tasks and maintain deliverable dates and schedules
- Communicate task status and coordinate with internal and external customers
- Allocate resources to address customer break/fix issues and reduce overhead
- Provide direct shop floor assistance at Savannah Service Center and Backshop
- Advise on problem solving balancing technical objectives, cost, and schedule
- Stay current on field developments to propose quality improvements
- Mentor and coach teams to promote training and knowledge sharing
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 10 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience with a Bachelor's
- Catia V5 and/or SmarTeam experience
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to communicate organization position with customers, internal and external
- Up to 25% travel
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- Gulfstream experience on GIV/GV/G650/G500/G600/G700/G800 (preferred)
- Experience with aircraft systems and airworthiness considerations (preferred)
- Experience with static and FDT stress analysis and MRB processes (preferred)
