Manager, Customer Success - Commercial Markets

In this role you lead a global high-touch Customer Success team responsible for adoption, retention and expansion among Planet's commercial customers. You'll align with Sales, Product and Professional Services to deliver measurable value and ROI, driving growth through integration of satellite imagery and geospatial analytics into client workflows. The position blends leadership with strategic partnership at enterprise scale, shaping how customers realize business impact with Planet's solutions. You'll work from SF or DC and report to the Global Director of Customer Success.

• Own regional/segment performance metrics (retention, expansion, NPS)
• Lead and mentor a multinational CSM team with best-practice engagement
• Serve as senior escalation point for critical accounts and manage at-risk relationships
• Partner with Sales Leadership and Account Executives on growth, renewals, and expansion
• Co-lead executive business reviews and define ROI frameworks for clients
• Analyze usage data, telemetry and health scores to spot expansion and reduce churn
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering and Professional Services for smooth post-sale transitions
• Advise Product Management on customer requirements and industry use cases

• 4+ years in customer success, account management, or strategic customer-facing roles in enterprise B2B SaaS/tech
• 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Experience with enterprise stakeholders (C-suite, VP-level)
• Ability to align Sales, Product, Legal, and Services around customer outcomes
• Proficiency with CRM/CS tools (Salesforce, Gainsight, Zendesk)
• Excellent English communication skills with ability to translate tech into business value
